The short answer
We cannot verify WARDOGS server health in real time. Check the developer’s Steam announcements first, then confirm that your account and client are eligible for the current session. A published playtest window is a schedule, not proof that login or match servers are working.

Start with the official notice
Open the developer announcement feed and read the newest relevant post, including its publication date. Look for a maintenance message, a changed access window or an instruction to update the client. An old announcement ending an earlier beta is not evidence that a later test is closed.
This page is an editorial checkpoint, not an automated uptime monitor. We do not poll the game’s backend, and we have no verified live player count or outage feed. “Unverified” must not be read as either “online” or “down.”
Find which stage is failing

Reaching one stage does not confirm the health of the next. For example, a working Steam store page says nothing about WARDOGS match servers.
Use this short check sequence
- Write down the local time, time zone and exact failure stage. Capture the message before dismissing it.
- Read the latest official notice. If the developer says to wait, stop making local changes.
- Check Steam Downloads for a pending update to the client you are actually launching.
- Confirm your internet connection works outside the game. If several unrelated services also fail, investigate that local connection first.
- If no maintenance notice applies, continue with the queue guide or empty browser guide, depending on your symptom.
If official information is silent
A cluster of player reports is useful context, but it cannot establish a worldwide outage by itself. Compare report times and regions; avoid reposting an old screenshot as current status.
For a useful report, include your client name, visible version, region, failure stage, exact error and when it happened. Remove account identifiers before posting publicly. After a retry succeeds, note which stage recovered; do not infer that every region has recovered too.
Should you reinstall while servers are unavailable?
Reinstalling does not create server capacity or open a closed access window. Preserve the installed client and your settings until there is a specific reason to investigate damaged local files.
