What Urban Games said

In the announcement of the second stability and performance update (late October 2026), Urban Games stated that a conflict affects Nvidia graphics card users with the freshly released 621.01 GeForce drivers — the driver Nvidia shipped on 21 October 2026.

The developer’s own words, in summary: the fix is already available on the public preview branch, but was not delayed into the main update. For the time being they recommend that Nvidia graphics card users do not update their drivers or, if they have done so already, roll back to a previous driver version. A hotfix to support the new drivers will follow once testing completes.

What to do now

  • Have not updated yet? Stay on your current driver. There is no benefit to jumping to 621.01 for this game.
  • Already on 621.01 and seeing crashes or a black screen? Roll back to the previous driver you used. Windows: Device Manager → Display adapters → Properties → Driver tab → Roll Back Driver, or install an earlier package from Nvidia’s driver archive with a clean installation.
  • Comfortable with preview builds? The fix is on the game’s public preview branch. Preview branches can change without notice, so weigh that against waiting for the hotfix.

How to tell this is your problem

This conflict is specific: your crashes or black screens started after you updated to 621.01. If your problems started before 21 October 2026, or you use an AMD or Intel GPU, a different cause is more likely — follow the crashing guide or the launch troubleshooting guide instead.
